Ready to feel better? Let’s start today.
Welcome.
I’m Britney, a trauma and relational therapist serving clients across Colorado. Many clients come to therapy seeking support with repeated struggles in their lives or ways they relate to themselves and others. I help people understand these struggles, navigate life’s challenges, and create meaningful change that strengthens connection and fosters personal growth. If you’re seeking counseling, I’d love to collaborate with you.
What I help clients with
I work with clients on a wide range of concerns, life stressors or diagnoses. Some of my speciality areas include:
Relationship & Emotional Well-being
Relationship challenges and recurring dynamics
Healing from past traumatic experiences
Boundaries, communication and difficulty asserting needs
Managing anger and emotional reactivity
Anxiety and depression
Life Transitions & Personal Growth
Life and career transitions
College students and young adults navigating independence, self-discovery, and academic stressors
Self esteem and self confidence
Alcohol & Substance Use
Exploring and understanding your relationship with alcohol or substances
Considering whether current use fits with goals and values
Supporting steps toward reducing use, harm reduction, or sobriety
Identity & Marginalization
Supporting LGBTQIAA+ individuals in a safe and affirming space
Experiences of marginalization and oppression related to race, gender, sexuality, size, ability
Many of these concerns are connected, and therapy can provide space to explore how they show up in your life, relationships, and impact your sense of self.
My approach
I know how uncomfortable it can feel to sit across from a therapist who feels stiff or distant — like you’re opening up to a total stranger. I strive to create a warm, authentic space where you feel genuinely connected to the person you’re sharing your deepest experiences with. I am direct and offer practical feedback with warmth and validation, aiming for sessions to feel conversational, relaxed, and not overly clinical.
Overall, I take an integrative approach to therapy. Everyone has their own story, and I believe care should reflect that. I often work from a relational-cultural and systems perspective because connection and relationships are the foundation of healing. I also draw on techniques from Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused therapies in order to gain practical skills.
My hope is that you feel empowered, have autonomy in this process, and walk away with a better understanding of yourself and your relationships. And while we’ll work through the difficult parts of life, I also like to leave room for laughter and joy.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re ready to start or just curious if therapy is right for you, I’d love to connect and answer any questions you have.
